Payment of entrance fees and Subscription Application for membership shall be accompanied by the appropriate entrance fee together with the first annual subscription. In the event of the application being not accepted by the Board the entrance fee and subscription paid shall be refunded to the candidate. When a candidate is elected, the Honorary Secretary shall inform him of his election and shall send him a copy of the Constitution and Bye-laws. Codes of Professional Conduct Every Member, Associate or Student shall be bound by the Codes of Professional Conduct including the Scale of Fees as laid down by the MSID. Entrance Fees, Subscription & Contributions The entrance fees and subscription shall be as follows: Category of Members Entrance Fee Resident (including Singapore) Non-Resident  Fellowship Member $100 $500 $100  Member $100 $200 $75  Associate Member $100 $100 $50  Student Member - $25 $25 The amount of entrance fees subscriptions and contributions shall be from time to time determined as per Bye-laws. Annual subscription shall be payable in advance and shall be due on the first day of January in each year. Members elected before the first day of July in any year shall pay the annual subscription payable for the current year, and those elected on and after the first day of July shall pay half the annual subscription. Defaulters Whenever any member shall suffer his annual subscription to remain in arrears for a period axceeding one year, he shall become a defaulter and a registered letter shall be sent to him and if all areas be not paid within four weeks after the fowarding of such letter, the defaulter may be suspended or expelled by Resolution of the Committee. Should any member be expelled for non-payement of his subscription the Committee shall have power, upon the defaulter giving to their satisfaction an explaination of the non-payement, to reinstate him in his former position as a member, and in such case to require the payment of all subscription which would be due to be continued as a member up to the date of such reinstatement, and any costs to which the MSID may have incurred in consequence of the default. Penalty For Non-Payment No member whose annual subscription remains unpaid for a period of three months shall be entittled to attend or take part in the meeting of the MSID nor to receive the notices of publications of the MSID nor shall he be entitled to vote if he is entitled to vote, nor shall he be entitled to be nominated for any office until he has paid in full such subscription. Honorary Members shall be exempted from the payment of entrance fees and subscriptions.
