Applications for Membership
Every candidate for admission to the MSID either as
a Member, Associate or Student shall make and subscribe
a statement that he is eligible under the Constitution
and that he is willing, if elected to be bound by the
Bye-laws and any other Regulations of the MSID in force
for the time being.
Save and except Honorary Members who shall be elected
by the Committee by special resolutions, every person
desirous of being admitted as Member, associate or Student
must be proposed according to the nomination Form of
his class.
The candidate's full name and his place of residence
and place of business shall be inserted in his Nomination
Form, and the Form must be signed by the candidate and
by at least two Members of the MSID. The Nomination
Form shall contain written statement by the candidate
giving particulars of qualifications.

In case of any candidate for membership not being personally
acquainted with the number of Members herein required
to propose him, the Committee shall, if satisfied with
his qualifications have power to nominate him.
The nomination of every applicant for admission to any
class of membership must be forwarded to the Honorary
Secretary for submission to the Board and if the Committee
approve such application and find such candidate to
be eligible and qualified according to the Rules and
Bye-laws in force for the time being, he shall be admitted
to membership in the class to which he is nominated
and such election shall be recorded in the Minutes of
the Committee Meeting at which such nomination is approved.
Refusal of Application
The Board reserves the right to refuse admission to
any application for membership for any of the reasons
listed under Rule 8.1 of the Constitution Section 1-5.
Termination of Membership
Membership in the MSID may be terminated if the member:
* does not comply with the codes of Professional Conduct
of the MSID, or
* is stuck off from any statutory Register of Interior
Designers, or
* becomes bankrupt or suspend payment or compound with
or makes an assignment of his property for the benifit
of creditors, or
* be declared lunatic or of unsound mind, or
* be convicted of a felony
Death of Member
Upon the death of any member, the Board shall remove
his/her anme from the Register of Members of the MSID.
Resignation of Membership
Any member may at any time, by giving notice in writing
sent by registered post or delivered to the Hon. Secretary
at the Office of the MSID and accompanied by the certificate
of membership held by him, resign his membership. Provided
that a member who is under any financial liability to
the MSID shall not be entitled to resign without the
saction of the Committee.
Re-Admission of Membership
The re-election to membership of any person who has
ceased to be member of the MSID shall be dealt with
, in the same manner as an original application.
