MSID 13TH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING The MSID Thirteenth Annual General Meeting (AGM) wad held on Saturday 12th. April 2003 at 9.30 am at Room Subang 2, Mezzanine Floor, Sheraton Subang Hotel, Subang Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan. There were 35 corporate members attending the AGM. The agenda for the AGM was as follows. 1.0 President’s Speech 2.0 To receive and approve the Minutes of the 12th. Annual General Meeting 3.0 To receive and approve the Financial Report and Audited Account for the year ending 2002. 4.0 Sub-Committee’s Report 5.0 Questions and Answers 6.0 To appoint and Auditor for the year ending 2003 7.0 Dissolution of MSID Board of Council for the year 2003-2005 8.0 Election of MSID Board of Council for the year 2003-2005 9.0 Introduction of MSID Board of Council for the year 2003-2005 10.0 Other matters 11.0 Proposal to adjourn the meeting The AGM was highlighted with the presentation of the revised Website by the appointed website Consultant Be Spoke which was activated on the same day. The AGM also saw the presentation of the revised Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) by the Professional Practice Committee Encik Mohd Nazli Abdul Aziz. He explained in detail on the revised MOA which features the additional clauses which protect the interest of the interior designers. Members who wish to give their views on MOA can participate in a Forum on MOA through MISD Website. On the membership aspect, Puan Majidah Majid who headed the Membership Committee highlighted that there has been an increase in membership as a result of an aggressive membership drive and a constant follow-up by the Membership Committee and the staffs at the Secretariat. The main agenda for this year’s AGM was the election of the new Board of Council for the year 2003-2005. Prior to the AGM, the members were notified to submit their nomination for the new board of the Council. The result of nomination and the Ballot Paper were send together with the notice of AGM to the members for voting. The members who could not attend the AGM or those who are outside Klang Valley could practice their right to vote by mailing their votes to the Secretariat. The result of the election of the new Board of MSID Council are as follows:- President : Jazman Shah Amir Vice President : Ronnie Choong Hon. Secretary : Ku Saodah Ku Shaari Hon.
